QUARANTINE TIMES: SWEET RETREAT
Updated: Aug 6
Tanner Kolb, just like most of us, has been in quarantine and keeping herself occupied. She has been cooking and baking-- even delivering goodies to some of her friends and family.
Don’t worry! She did not get close and kept the right social distance as she made her rounds.
"Tanner wants people to know that she thought of making and gifting sweet treats so people would know that someone was thinking of them and it would brighten their day. Now there’s some food for thought!"
Here is Tanner’s recipe of banana bread that you can easily (and share) at home!
3-4 ripe bananas (mashed)
⅓ cup butter (melted)
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup walnuts (chopped)
And her secret ingredients?
Chocolate chips and pecans! Don’t be stingy -- put in as much as you like!
